My goal is not to escape my problems but to walk through them.
In the past, I have created problems for myself by neglecting things that needed attention in my life. It is easy for me to ignore a problem or hide pain and discomfort. Unfortunately, these are only the initial stages of much larger and longer-lasting issues.
Avoidance breeds anxiety, self-doubt, and resentment, which can often lead to lying or other harmful behaviors, especially in relationships. Confronting a problem or correcting any kind of miscommunication early on can often transform the outcome from negative to positive.
Don’t run. Address it. Don’t hide. Change it. Don’t stay angry. Pray about it.
Have a great week,
Neal
