One of the beliefs that held me back for so long was the notion that I needed some sort of special qualification before I could try.
You don’t need to be a saint to talk to God. He makes Himself available to each of us, and that is simply who God is. I assumed I wasn’t good enough to speak directly to God because of the things I was doing in my life. In reality, that was when I needed Him most.
The one qualification we all need is a genuine desire to do better and be better. If we can acknowledge that we don’t know everything and that God exists in His sovereignty, anything is possible. The willingness to change and grow qualifies us to reach new heights.
I only feel lonely when I choose not to pray, and everything feels heavy and unattainable when I try to do things on my own. The peace in my life is as consistent as my prayer, and when I am walking in the light, anything is possible.
Have a great day,
Neal
