YOUR WORK SHOWS

You can talk all you want, but everyone will see the results of your lifestyle over time. You can pretend to be someone you are not, for as long as you like, but the truth will come out in person when you are faced with authentic individuals. You can take an axe to a tree and proclaim with your words that it will remain standing; yet it will surely fall. No matter how many times you say it will not, the tree will fall if you continue to cut it down. Don’t waste your time attempting to convince the world you are someone else. Focus on learning how to accept being who you are.

I have all kinds of personalities in my network and friend groups. A few of these people like to talk about how good they are at stuff. They make me laugh, because most of them are not nearly as good as they say they are. It is embarrassing when someone talks about how much they do, what they’ve done, or what they will do; only to later find that it is not true. Don’t say you can do it, if you can’t. Don’t go telling everyone what you are about to do, if you aren’t at home every night working towards getting it done.

Who you are and what you are about, will continue to show itself when you come onto the field to play.

Have a great week!
