I will always remember my favorite, as well as my least favorite teachers during my school years.
Even my least favorite teachers, taught me something. However, the positive impact left on me by the others has been profound. I will always remember the kindness, patience, and lessons I received from the teachers who impacted my life the most.
Now, with students of my own, I am reminded of how important and impactful my words and my actions can be. I have forgiven the ones I thought were “heavy handed” on direction and discipline, but I consider how my methods might impact those I work with. I remember how special those people made me feel about myself. With gratitude, I try to do the same for my guys.
The information we teach, is often less impactful than the way we teach it. May we teach with love, patience, and kindness.
Have a great day!
Neal
