With all of the things out of our control in this world, it is very important that we take advantage of and take the initiative with regard to the things we can control.
Two things we all have control over are the way we start our day and the way we end our day.
1. I begin my day with intentional, positive behaviors. I pray and meditate so that I approach my day with the right mindset. I send an encouraging message out to some people each morning and I remind myself to be of service. I make a gratitude list to establish a grateful attitude. I eat healthy and exercise to get my body moving and feeling alive. By this time, I am answering calls and texts, and the day is in full swing. The chances of my day being a bad one have dramatically decreased because of the actions I have taken.
2. To end my day, I make sure to address any conflicts, disagreements, or complications that could be resolved. I want to prevent any negative feelings or negative energy from rolling over into the next day. By addressing conflicts before the day ends, there is nothing to worry about for the days ahead. I have closure and will be able to start fresh again tomorrow. To promote good rest and healthy thoughts, the last thing I do before I go to sleep is read something positive. By digesting positive thoughts as I enter my sleep, I am able to rest more peacefully and wake up in a better place mentally and emotionally.
We can’t control everything, but the direction we choose and the tone we set is 100% our decision. If you need help building your morning or nightly routine, feel free to reach out. I am glad to help. Let’s get to work!
Take control of your day! Make it a good one. 😎
