I think a lot of us say we want change, but we may not be ready for the change to take place.
In order for something transformative to happen in my life, I have to lay the sword down. The older and more intelligent that we become, the more confident we seem to be about our habits and our beliefs. I am sure this is much more the case with some than others, but I see it all the time.
Surrender is confusing, because I don’t like to quit and I will never “give up.” However, not every fight is worth fighting on my own and I may not prepared for what is ahead. The hardest and smartest thing I have ever done, was when I surrendered to addiction, to God, and I asked for guidance. It changed my heart and my life forever.
Sometimes, the best path to victory in our lives is achieved through surrender.
Have a great week!
