Peace is a product of order.
I hate rules, but guidelines serve a purpose. Typically, rules are solutions that have been created, as a result of a problem manifesting itself in one way or another. Rule making gets out of hand when people are power hungry and seeking control. Guidelines keep everyone accountable and things moving with a better flow.
“God is not the author of chaos or confusion” is always scrolling through my brain. People, places, and things that bring chaos into my life are not good for me. I want to seek things that bring peace into my life, and they are always associated with a spiritual connection to God.
When my job and my relationships are not in order, I find myself lacking peace in my life. My life is chaotic when I do not have my spiritual life in order, because the peace in my heart comes from God. When I am intentional with prayer and daily disciplines, I have more peace in my life.
Have a great day,
Neal
