I pride myself on my ability to get things done. I am efficient, and I like to do a variety of different things. I like to work out, I like to work, and I don’t like to sit down for very long.
I am ambitious, and I am passionate about my purpose in life, but I can get ahead of myself at times. The only reason I have ambition or a passion for life is because God gave me those things. I must remember to ask for God’s direction when I use them.
If I choose not to limit myself and to not implement an appropriate balance between work, life, personal life, and my relationship with God, He (God) will do that for me. It is best not to fight this process and to focus on being more still.
I am grateful for the times when God slows me down.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
Psalms 23:1-3 NIV
Have a great week,
Neal
