I have to remind myself that I’m a part of something bigger. My story is also a part of millions of other stories and my actions have an impact on those around me.
The problems in my life seem like a big deal because they are my problems. Other people‘s issues are so far away, but only to me. They probably feel the same way about their problems, as I do about my own.
The healthiest way to live my life and the best way that I have found to address my problems, is to focus more on helping others than I do on trying to make myself feel better. When I focus on contributing to something bigger than myself, I tend to feel a lot better about my place in this world.
Don’t forget: we are in this thing together!
Have a great week,
Neal
