The highlights of my story that people typically enjoy hearing about most are often not the most impactful moments of my journey.
A high-speed car chase, wrestling with local police, evading arrest on foot, and hiding inside a doghouse—all stories of great merit! However, the moment I felt unwanted by my family was when I truly felt broken inside.
Maintaining my original teeth and avoiding a decade in prison are high on my gratitude list, I promise. But when God responded to my cry for help, something inside me changed forever. Experiencing freedom from self-bondage and developing a purpose in my life have transformed my heart.
The most impactful moments of our lives are often those that go unseen. It is our responsibility to ensure we don’t miss these experiences by keeping our hearts open.
